So it's been...yep pretty much a year since I have last posted. I guess I have no excuses since I had almost no life over the summer and then a crazy fall semester with the only spare time I had was fonning over my Hubby hub. ;) So now it is 2013 and the opportunities and busyness doesn't seem to cease. So just to catch everyone up...I was married in May, started singing gigs free lance style last year, am one year away from my music degree, became fully domesticated by, for the firsts time fretting over what I cooked and how I cleaned the house...ha! Never thought I'd see the day. Anyway degree....theeeeeeeeen, my husband started my website...www.rebeckahresare.com if any ya'all want to check it out. It's very new and the only things we have up are this blog and a little personal bio, BUT it is cool, and once I start recording I will have more things to put up on there. Which is one of my goals this year to start recording some music, so that when people ask me if I have anything they can look at I wont have the embarrassing answer, "not yet...:)" Trust me that sucks. I am also starting to teach voice, which is super exciting because I feel like i have a lot to offer, yet I am still learning a ton myself. The little sponge in me is ready to start sqeezing out all of this....um stuff. That was kind of weird and sounded better in my head, but you get the picture. SO that is kind of it. I auditioned to go to Italy this summer for an Opera program there, haven't heard if im in yet or not, but I've heard they really want my money so Im pretty sure I'll get in. :)

First ever recording session |
Reading back what Ive just written makes me think of way back when I was a freshman in college when I had such different ambitions. I still have some of those dreams but the way I thought I would go about it is COMPLETELY different from what I imagined. I was gonna go to a performing arts college getting a performing arts degee on scholarship, live in NY or Cali, become a broadway star, and get married after I got sick of living away. *sigh* so cute. Instead I didn't go, finished LDC, got married, met some agent/recording people, and am finishing a music degree at UVU. Life doesn't ever turn out how you planned. I know now that it's for a reason. God knows whats best for us!
So, thats it for now. Some how and some day soon my dreams will come true, and it's all because I am going after what I want. And I have people in my life that encourage me and build me up. Especically my husband who makes me better than I am.
Isn't it so fun to watch our "dreams" come true but in such a different time and way then we planned? It's always better anyway. :)
